RESOURCE ROOM – “If children can’t learn the way we teach, may be we should teach them the way they learn.”
Our School extends special educational programmes for ‘students with learning difficulties’. We have special educators to meet the specific needs of these students to maximize their learning potential. We believe in inclusive education and the children with LD are given equal opportunities and they are encouraged to take part in all activities. The resource room teachers work closely with the parents of these students and their teachers to ensure support in helping them to reach their full potential.

To make learning experiences clear and vivid, Smart Class with internet access was introduced in the academic year 2010-2011. The Smart Class provided by Edurite Solutions Limited adds a new dimension and provides rich e-learning experience for our students.Classrooms have now turned into lively learning platforms and the students enjoy a multi-sensory learning experience leading to an improved understanding of concepts taught at school. The standard of academic has gone up and students show a lot of enthusiasm to participate in this interactive way of teaching – learning system.

Our library boasts an extensive collection of books-reference, fiction, non-fiction and children’s literature- in various languages. The exhaustive collections of books also include many international editions. The library subscribes to several newspapers and periodicals. A spacious reading area facilitates quiet reading and self learning. Students choose their own reading material.
The School has full-fledged laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science for students of class XI and XII.For juniors up to Class X there are 5 junior laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer and Electronics. A dedicated group of teachers are always available to help students.
Ramayana month in Kerala is observed in the month Karkidakam (July-August). At KVBM, Ramayana week is observed every year in this month. A variety of programmes and competitions are held in connection with the same. The whole week, the school has various events and programmes like Ramayana paaraayanam, Ramayana Quiz and many other related events.

Activities: (Children have good fun!)Activities at school complement a student’s classroom education. Extra-curricular activities form an integral part of KMBVM. Our various clubs are the very epicentre of activities and the pride of our school. Under the guidance of able and enthusiastic teachers, KVBVM offers students a wide choice of activities to explore their interests and to broaden their horizons. At KMBVM, students have diverse choice of activities to expand their educational and social horizons.
Special activity classes conducted for 2 hours in a week within school hours, was started in the academic year 2013-14,for the Primary Section.This year we have extended this facility for students of Senior Section i.e upto 10th standard.The classes are offered in Karate, Skating, Kalari, Abacus, Hindi, Aksharaslokham, Chess,Guitar,Keyboard,Calligraphy,Violin,Art and Craft,Graphic Designing,Science and Electronics and Film Making.Training is given by experts in each field.The overwhelming response from the students and parents shows the success of this project.The school is providing coaching in athletics and games after school.
We have a fully functional science club.This club broadly aims to inculcate a scientific temper amongst our students,promote scientific thinking and enhance scientific awareness.

A wide range of sporting facilities are available in our school. The school has good facilities for indoor and outdoor games such as badminton, football, cricket, volleyball, carrom, chess, Chinese checkers etc.
Dance and Music Club
Dance and Music form an integral part of our school-activities. By setting the senses in motion, the sensitivity of the child is sharpened. Students develop positive self-image, overall body awareness and effective stress management. Music soothes and relaxes the over-stressed children. Dance and music, the rhythm of life, not only improve the concentration and creativity of children but also make them receptive to other forms of knowledge, notably scientific knowledge. The Dance and Music club endeavours to realise these objectives.
Yoga is a perfect ‘activity’ for promoting mental health, all the more so because it is the practice of unifying mind and body. It helps kids get in touch with themselves and their bodies, and learn stress management techniques. Students go through a series of sun salutations, and learn new poses that teach connection, co-operation, posture and flexibility.
Art and Craft Club
“All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”
Exploring colour, texture, shape, space and form in a fun environment is a unique experience. At KVBM, art education is an enjoyable, experiential learning process for free expression of children. Art and Craft activities motivate children to develop self-esteem, self-discipline and cooperation. Also, these activities help children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, developing creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways.
Social Service Club – Life’s most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?
It aims at helping students to develop and exercise a strong sense of social responsibility; through making an earnest endeavor to contribute to the less fortunate. It is done through various community outreach activities.
KMBVM has ushered in a revolutionary “A Coin a Week “scheme to help the abandoned and underprivileged. The students are encouraged to do selfless service. Since 2004, KMBVM has been helping the poor and needy. The students of KMBVM have always stood in the forefront in helping the needy. For the last two years they had worked on the project
“A Coin a Week”.The amount collected was utilized to help Pain and Palliative Society,Paediatric Ward of Govt.Medical College,Thrissur,Parvathy Seva Nilayam,Agathi Mandhiram in Ramavarmapuram. Through this humanitarian service many are benefited.
The principal aim of the Nature Club is to bring the student community closer to nature and to increase awareness of environment related issues.
